Tuition and Fees Payment Plan (Policy SA-10)

Policy:

A student becomes financially responsible for all tuition and fees incurred upon registration. It is the student’s responsibility to pay tuition and fees balances by the term’s tuition and fees due date or enroll in a payment plan by the tuition due date.

Procedure:

Payment for amounts not covered by financial aid or pre-determined by a payment plan is due by the tuition and fees due date.

Payment Plans

Clarkson College offers the following payment plans:

TransAct Payment Plan

The TransAct Payment Plan allows students to pay in monthly installments during the course of the semester. The student must enroll online through their MyCC, TransAct account. An enrollment fee is due at the time of enrollment in the plan through their TransAct account. Failure to make timely payments may result in the assessment of late payment fees by TransAct, and a Registration Hold will be placed on the student’s Clarkson College account until the account balance is paid. The student will be automatically withdrawn from the plan fifteen (15) days after the final due date, regardless of whether payment is made in full. This will prevent students from enrolling in any Clarkson College payment plan for future semesters. Participation in a payment plan may be denied for future semesters.

Clarkson College Deferral Program Form (Clarkson Optional Payment Plan – Employer Reimbursement) for Employees of Nebraska Medicine & Clarkson College

According to the terms listed below, employees of Nebraska Medicine/ Clarkson College, who qualify for the Tuition Reimbursement program and who are taking classes at Clarkson College, may defer payment of tuition and fees for 60 days after final grades are issued for the semester. Deferred payment must be less than or equal to the student’s calendar year tuition reimbursement balance with Nebraska Medicine. Failure to make timely payments or submittal of reimbursement may result in the assessment of late payment fees to the student’s account, placement of a Registration Hold on the student’s Clarkson College records for future enrollment, and denial of the student’s participation in this program for future semesters.

The employee must sign and submit a Clarkson College Deferral Program Form to the Student Accounts Office at the beginning of each semester. The Agreement Form notifies Clarkson College of intent. In the event that the student is not qualified to participate in the Tuition Reimbursement program or fails to pay any outstanding balance by 60 days after final grades are issued for the semester, the Agreement authorizes Clarkson College to deduct payment from the student’s payroll through Nebraska Medicine.

If total reimbursement for the calendar year does not cover the outstanding term balance:

a. The reimbursement balance available within the calendar year may be carried throughout the end of the term until grades are available at Clarkson College, allowing time for processing. Any balance exceeding the tuition reimbursement amount must be paid by the term’s tuition and fees due date, or late fees and registration holds will be assessed.

b. If tuition reimbursement has exceeded the total dollar amount allocated for the calendar year, this form may be denied.  All tuition and fees charges will need to be paid at the term’s tuition and fees due date, or late fees and registration holds will be assessed accordingly.

c. Total reimbursement left for the calendar year is a required field on the Clarkson College Deferral Form and can be discussed with Nebraska Medicine HR representatives.

The student must initiate the tuition reimbursement process at the end of each class completion by submitting a copy of the Clarkson College semester grades and the tuition billing statement. The employee must complete this step within 60 days of final grades being issued for the semester to initiate the tuition reimbursement payment.

Clarkson College employees must be in good standing. According to policy HR-12 Employment Status, good standing is defined as receiving an overall score of 2.5 or higher on the most recent organizational performance appraisal and having not had a second or final written corrective action, or suspension in the last six (6) months.
