Institutional Review of Research Involving Human Subjects (Policy OG-8)

All research proposals submitted by faculty, staff members or students from within or outside Clarkson College that involve human subjects who are part of the Clarkson College community, must be reviewed and/or approved by the Clarkson College Institutional Review Board (IRB) prior to data collection.

Procedure:

In the conduct of cooperative research projects, each institution is responsible for safeguarding the rights and welfare of human subjects and for complying with this policy. The Clarkson College IRB abides by policy and procedure with the United States Department of Health and Human Services under the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) and within the terms of the Federal Wide Assurance (FWA) for the protection of human subjects.
