Crime Reporting and Disclosures

Policy: 

Clarkson College faculty, staff, students, and visitors are encouraged to report all crimes and public safety-related incidents to UNMC Public Safety in a timely manner. Potential criminal actions, sex offenses, and other emergencies on the Clarkson College campus can be reported directly by any student, faculty member, or employee to the UNMC Public Safety Department. For offenses related to sexual misconduct, please refer to the Sexual Misconduct (Policy SW-27) policy.  

Procedure: 

To report a crime or an emergency on the Clarkson College campus, call UNMC Public Safety. UNMC Public Safety Dispatch is available 24 hours a day to answer your call. Students and employees are also encouraged to use the Clarkson College Alert application.

  • All other emergencies can be directed to 911. 

In response to a call, UNMC Public Safety will take the required action, and if necessary, UNMC Public Safety will contact the Omaha Police Department. 

Crimes should be reported to UNMC Public Safety to ensure inclusion in the annual crime statistics required for the annual Clery report, and to provide timely warning notices to the community when appropriate.
