NRS 455 - Community and Public Health in Practice: Theory Online
This course will build upon previous knowledge of community and public health nursing and client-centered care experiences while learning about epidemiology, emergency preparedness and management, the prevention and control of diseases and illnesses, and improving the community’s health through community planning, implementation, and evaluation. The influence of the social determinants of health and how they relate to individual and family well-being will be explored. This course will examine the needs and factors that have an impact on at-risk and vulnerable populations. This course is designed as the second part of two continuation courses in the exploration of community and public health nursing.
