NRS 236 - Pharmacology in Nursing: Principles of Pharmacology

This course provides an exploration of pharmacological principles, ethical and legal considerations, and their application in nursing practice. It emphasizes the nursing role in developing a comprehensive evidence-based approach to the clinical application of drug therapy used to promote health or treat alterations in individuals, families, and communities, across the lifespan. Through active learning, the student will learn drug classification prototypes, mechanisms of action, dosage calculations and safe administration, adverse drug reactions, nursing implications, client education and drug interactions.
