NRS 150 - Foundations of Community and Public Health Nursing:Theory

This course will introduce the student to broad concepts of community and public health nursing practice including its historic development, principles, levels of prevention, core functions, and vulnerable populations. Theoretical and practical perspectives illustrating the social determinants of health will be explored. This course is designed as part one of two continuation nursing courses in the exploration of community and public health nursing.
