DMI 360 - Introduction to Medical 3D Printing and Visualization
This introductory course provides a comprehensive overview of medical 3D printing and visualization, covering essential 3D printing technologies and materials, software tools for design and slicing, FDA regulations, quality assurance and the setup of a 3D lab. Students will learn scanning protocols, explore various medical applications such as surgical planning, and gain foundational knowledge in post-processing techniques. Through lectures, hands-on activities, and case studies, students will develop a solid foundation in the principles and practices of medical 3D printing and visualization.
