EA 215 - Abnormal Psychology

This course will serve as a patient-focused examination of abnormal psychology by introducing the DSM-5, as well as contemporary research and theory in the broad field of psychopathology. We will examine the history, causes, consequences and treatments of abnormal behavior. As health care professionals, we must recognize that normal and abnormal behaviors are usually the result of both physiological and psychological factors, and acquire an understanding of the neuroscience, medical, mental health and pragmatic implications of these disorders.
