Degree Plan (Policy AA-5)

The Degree Plan is referred to as the Academic Plan, which is available in MyCC to track courses required for degree completion. The Degree Plan will include the courses that Clarkson College will accept in transfer, and the specific courses the student will be required to complete in order to meet graduation requirements. MyCC will identify a stop for conditionally admitted students.

The purpose of the Degree Plan is:

  1. To ensure the student has a plan for meeting all Clarkson College requirements for graduation in a timely and effective way;
  2. To provide the student a basis for monitoring his/her own progress; and
  3. To provide the student assurance his/her Degree Plan for meeting course and program requirements is accurate.

Procedure:

Prior to registration, the Registrar’s office will complete a Degree Plan for all new students.  Prior to the first semester of attendance each student will be assigned and meet with an academic advisor, who will assist the student in the completion of the Degree plan course requirements.

A Registrar's Office representative will sign the Degree Plan and email the plan to the student at the beginning of the first semester.  The signed Degree Plan becomes the student's plan for graduation and may not be changed without formal written approval by the Program Director. The information on the Degree Plan is contractual in nature.
